Proud of River Road Middle School Students

River Road Middle School Students put together a great program geared toward awareness and elimination of bullying. These students showed leadership by stating that there is no place for bullying at their school.

This is a great example for other schools in and beyond our district. I’m proud of the RRMS students for taking a stand. Keep up the good work!

All the best,

Bill

We recently posted a few new pages on the Website. They can accessed using the navigation bar at the top of the page, but you can also use the links in this post.

One DistrictThe first page is called “One District Philosophy.” It talks about how we can do so much together, as a district, rather than just being 6 counties. Please take a look today by clicking here or on the district map on the left.jobs

The second page details my stances on many of the important issues in this election. With our focus sharply on education, jobs, and innovation, there is nothing we can’t accomplish together. Read my “Creating Jobs” page by clicking here or on the jobs image to the right.

As always, thanks so much for your support. I couldn’t do this without you, and I hope you know by now… I wouldn’t want to.

Dems, Thanks for Putting your Trust in Me

I am so humbled that the First District Democrats trust me to carry the torch as the Democratic nominee for the North Carolina House of Representatives.

I will continue to travel the district, talk about North Carolina Values, and work every day for every vote to represent this district in the NC House.

More than anything, if this district will send me to Raleigh, I will never forget who sent me, and I will never stop working for all the people of the district.

We must be one district, and I truly believe we can achieve that together. As I said in my filing speech…

Together, we will sound our voices loud and clear from Columbia to Corolla, from Shiloh to… Continue reading

LUTON RAISES $15K BEFORE FILING DEADLINE: Goal is $100K

(Elizabeth City, NC) According to Bill Luton’s campaign for NC House, he has raised more than $15,000, even before the filing deadline has passed.
“My goal is to raise $100,000 for the race because I want to be in the absolute best position to be the most competitive candidate in this race.”
Asked why he thinks contributors have responded so quickly and so generously, Luton said
“People are responding to my message about restoring North Carolina values to the House. Folks in this area want to see job growth, a commitment to education, and a representative who shares their values.”
Luton also reiterated a theme from his announcement, saying
“we have got to see our six counties as one district, and folks are seeing that as my vision for us… one district, one community.”
